Who I am
Martina Pagnin, founder and owner of the New Dream’s Border kennel, began her journey in 2005 with the arrival of her first Border Collie, Renee. With Renee, Martina started practicing Agility Dog at an amateur level and participating in beauty shows. She was immediately captivated by the exceptional qualities of the breed, including their learning ability, collaboration, and remarkable intelligence.

Driven by her passion for Border Collies, Martina decided to dedicate herself with respect and commitment to breeding this magnificent breed. In 2009, she welcomed Eevee, a Border Collie from the renowned Bordeline Country kennel of Heidi Poschacher. Descended from prestigious Australian bloodlines, Eevee became the foundation of the New Dream’s Border kennel.

The kennel's first litter was born in 2010, and since then, the activity has expanded through the import of dogs with prestigious pedigrees from different parts of the world and numerous successful litters.
Martina devotes continuous research and study of bloodlines to breed healthy dogs with balanced temperaments and morphologically in line with the breed standard. This dedication earned her, in 2012, the prestigious Master Breeder title recognized by ENCI, confirming her professionalism and expertise in the field.

Today, New Dream’s Border boasts over 50 beauty champions, more than 100 championship titles, and over 30 dogs recognized in various canine sports disciplines, solidifying the kennel's reputation on an international level.

Our breeding policy
New Dream's Border is a family-run breeding kennel, recognized by both ENCI and FCI, where the main goal is to select Border Collies with a balanced temperament, ideal for both families and enthusiasts of dog-sport disciplines. Our mission is to ensure that the dogs not only meet the breed’s morphological standards but also bring joy and happiness to their future owners.

The selection of our dogs starts with a careful search for the most prestigious bloodlines, with the aim of producing dogs that are not only healthy but also well-balanced behaviorally. Each of our dogs undergoes the required health tests to avoid breeding animals affected by hereditary diseases. The well-being of our animals is our top priority. Therefore, most of our breeders, both males and females, live in family environments, where they receive the proper care and enjoy a peaceful life. Additionally, our females are only bred a limited number of times (maximum 3-4) throughout their life, based on their health status, to ensure their well-being.

Our philosophy is not to "produce" dogs, but to carefully select, which is why our litters are limited and highly selective. If you are interested in one of our puppies, we encourage you to contact us in advance to reserve one and inquire about availability.

Our selection work
The New Dream’s Border breeding program stands out for its responsible and targeted approach to dog selection, based on key principles of health, character, and adherence to breed standards.

Our work begins with a rigorous genetic selection of breeding dogs, considering their health, character, and beauty. This process involves assessing potential hereditary conditions, such as hip, elbow, and shoulder dysplasia, epilepsy, and other breed-specific issues, through accurate genetic testing and collaboration with veterinary experts.

We also place great emphasis on the behavior of our dogs. They are raised in a family environment where they actively participate in daily life, allowing for balanced socialization and continuous evaluation of their character. This ensures they are well-suited to family life and possess a balanced temperament.

To protect the health of our females, we limit the number of litters each female has, preventing overbreeding and exploitation. We also regularly participate in dog shows to keep our dogs in line with the breed's aesthetic standards and foster their socialization.

Our commitment to the selection and care of our dogs, which requires investments of time, resources, and expertise, is reflected in the price of our puppies. We believe the added value, in terms of health, character, and quality, justifies the cost, offering a conscious and responsible choice for the future owner.
